Nuts About Granola - Perfect "To Go" Snack for Healthy Eating

(Don't worry, No Granola was wasted during or after the Photo Shoot!  I snacked on the Yummy "Johnny Appleseed" Granola the whole time.)

I have found that one thing always stays true when trying to lose weight the Healthy Way.  Staying Hungry is a disaster for grabbing Calorie and Fat Loaded snacks.  So I always carry a little travel sized bag of Nuts About Granola along with me in my purse.  It is like a staple right next to the Lip Gloss :)

I consider it my secret weapon in fighting crime, ok, maybe I went a little too far........More like my secret weapon to Healthy Weight Loss.  It never fails when I run to the store to grab something "quick" I am hit with a huge hunger attack.  Having three kids doesn't make it any easier.  All I hear in the car is "I'm hungry" or "Can I have a Snack" or my personal favorite "my belly hurts".  So I need to be prepared with something healthy and good for the whole family to enjoy.  Otherwise I will have three kids, with empty stomachs. all yelling, whining, and screaming at each other in the car.  Any mother knows this is not a good time and can probably relate.

So I am Super Thankful for these adorable Snack Sized Packs of Granola from Nuts About Granola to help me fight crime...I mean Hunger, and get back into my "Skinny Jeans" :)  Giving me the perfect Healthy Snack to control my hunger and get through the day!

Thank you NUTS ABOUT GRANOLA!!

Check out the Website where you can Order Granola Online to be shipped to your door!  Check Out the Awesome flavors too :)

BodyMedia FIT Arm Bands for Weight Loss

I have been researching these BodyMedia Arm Bands for a little while now.  In my opinion it is kind of like the GPS to Weight Loss.  It monitors some key things for successful weight loss meaning it makes your job a whole lot easier.  I thought o.k. sure, when first reading it, tell me how many calories you "think" I burned, and how many "steps" you think I have taken?

I kept on reading and come to find out that the BodyMedia Arm Bands are actually 90% accurate.  They not only monitor "How Active You Are" and "Your Calories Burned" but "Quantity and Quality of Sleep" as well.  I just posted about Sleep in Healthy Weight Loss the other day, so this was a great solution for me.  I really want to see how well I am sleeping.  Between my husband snoring and my youngest sneaking into our bed (always on my side) around 4 or 5 a.m. I am thinking my sleep is pretty interrupted.  So the days I am getting a good nights sleep, I feel I should reward myself for working harder :)

Until I receive one of these things I will have to keep manually tracking my calories and excercise which works for now.  Although I cannot wait to Buy a BodyMedia FIT Arm Band or magically receive one in the mail :)  Until then, I am keeping my fingers crossed just incase it magically appears in the mail one day. I will keep everyone posted if either of those happen and just how much I Love It or Not so much??

If you would like to Buy BodyMedia Arm Bands visit there website and check it our for yourself.  You might be surprised!  Please Share if you Like it, Love it, or Not So Much, I would love to hear any feedback especially if you are reading this and already own one!

BodyMedia Arm Bands have "Apps available for iPhone® and Android™ smartphones".

You can also Follow BodyMedia FIT on Facebook!  While you are there don't forget to Follow Skinny Jeans Amy on Facebook too!

Fat Jeans, Skinny Jeans, and Everything in Between!

So if you haven't seen a trend in the basics of my blog already I will fill you in on my life.  Just in case you haven't guessed it by now, my name is Amy.  I am a proud mother to three beautiful children.  My oldest daughter is 8, bright, smart and fun.  My middle child, my son, is 6 and is very talented and smart.  My youngest daughter is 3, super cute, and super funny.  She is about to be 4 which I don't like to mention.  Don't get me wrong, I am super excited she is going to be 4, however, that does mean it will be 4 years since giving birth and not dropping my weight.  Sure it has fluctuated, at one point I was 165 lbs. which at 5' 8" isn't horrible but still wasn't skinny.

I say one point because I feel like I have been riding a crazy cycle of gaining and losing between 179-190 lbs for a couple of years now.  My tight "Fat Pants" (which is what I call them) are size 14 and my love handles clearly show.  My "Skinny Jeans" (which by the way haven't been worn in over two years) are a size 12.  I have fit some of my size 12 but not my "Skinny Jeans" size 12.  I know, I know you might be laughing right now thinking "that isn't skinny" or maybe you are saying "Oh My God I know" and can totally relate.  Either way, I think it is safe to say that every girl has her "Fat Jeans" and her "Skinny Jeans".

Which brings us back to my blog.  I want to fit back into my "Skinny Jeans" a pair of American Eagle "Artist Jeans" size 12 possibly sized wrong and are really a size 10.  I am just saying...geez....hear me out.  For some reason I have two other pair of American Eagle Jeans size 12 and 3 pairs of capris size 12 which I fluctuate wearing (key word wearing).  I can somehow fit into those size 12.  Not my "Skinny Jeans" size 12 though :(

Like I said I am in between being somewhat comfortable in my size 12, then the too tight size 12 but too loose size 14, to the too tight size 14 but refusing to buy size 16.  So I am taking things seriously and really researching what I keep doing over and over again and keep failing over and over again.  I want to find a way to keep the weight off for good and then maintain it as well.  This is my journey to lose the pounds, maybe not be super skinny, but at least fit into my "Skinny Jeans" and feel good about myself again.  Be active (I forgot what that word meant) and healthy for me, my kids, and my husband.  I hope you can relate to what I am going through, been through, and hope to accomplish.  Follow along On My Way to Skinny :)
